Kent Fire and Rescue was called to reports of a lorry on fire on the M20 Coastbound, between Junctions 10 and 11.
Two fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel and main jets to extinguish the flames which were coming from the lorry trailer.
There were no reported injuries and the cause is believed to be accidental.
