Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a roof fire in Wincheap, Canterbury.
Five fire engines and a height vehicle attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames.
The Volunteer Response Team are in attendance to provide support to the impacted residents.
There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
