Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a lorry fire on the M26 coastbound near Junction 2a Wrotham Heath.
Four fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used main jets to extinguish the flames.
There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
