Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car alight on Pier Road in Gillingham.
One fire engine attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet.
The road was temporarily closed whilst the scene was made safe and there were no reported injuries.
