Summer water safety

KFRS not only fight fires – we also carry out inland water rescues from lakes, canals and rivers. It's an important part of our work and we’re committed to ensuring everyone in Kent is equipped with the information they need to stay safe around water. Our newly developed water safety resources educate students on the dangers of inland water, by promoting safer behaviours and skills to mitigate risk.

The Great Fire of London is one of the largest and most devastating fires in British history; an event that reshaped the city and it's approach to fire safety. Through our resources, students will discover the challenges faced by firefighters during the Great Fire and the advancements in firefighting equipment that make our lives and communities safer today.

World Book Day® story time - It's an Emergency! with David

In celebration of World Book Day®, Kent Fire and Rescue Service is excited to share a special story time video with Education Officer, David, who will guide children through the concept of what an emergency is in our engaging story, Emergency! We believe that reading is a vital tool in shaping young minds, and through storytelling, children can learn important lessons in a fun and memorable way. Let’s come together to celebrate the power of reading across Kent!
