Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a vehicle alight on the hard shoulder of the M20 London-bound carriageway, near to Junction 10 for Ashford.
Two fires engines attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet. No injuries were reported.
