Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to rescue a donkey that had become stuck in a shallow ditch in Bull Hill, Bethersden near Ashford. A fire engine and the KFRS Animal Rescue Unit was sent to the scene where the crew found the donkey in two feet of water, but couldn't make it up the steep muddy bank. The animal rescue team got to work and used the special animal rescue equipment to bring the donkey up to dry land. 'Braying' for a smooth rescue; the donkey appeared relieved once out of the water and soon gave a 'Hee-haw' of thanks to the crew.
