*** CORRECTION ***Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire that had spread to the ground floor of a property in Elham Close, Margate. The fire had started in furniture in the garden before spreading to the building.Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a main jet, hose reel jet and hydrant to extinguish the fire. Two fire engines were in attendance and one person was given a precautionary check for the effects of breathing in smoke.The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.British Red Cross provided support to the occupants of the property.
