Kent Fire and Rescue Service is issuing bonfire safety advice following an outbuilding fire in Grafty Green, Maidstone. Three fire engines were sent to the scene of the blaze on Headcorn Road, and firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames. No casualties were reported, and the fire is believed to have started accidentally after spreading from a nearby bonfire. 

Following the fire, crews are reminding everyone to take care when lighting bonfires. Always ensure they are lit well away from property, sheds, trees and foliage, and never leave them unattended.
