Kent Fire and Rescue Service is at Bearsted Rail Station in Ware Street, Bearsted following reports of train on fire.
At the height of the incident, five fire engines and a bulk water carrier were in attendance and crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and linked to the brakes overheating.
