Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a vehicle alight which was towing a horse box, on the M2 coast-bound between junction 3 and junction 4, near Bredhurst.Two fire engines attended and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire. The horse and the horse box were not impacted by the fire, and there were no reported injuries. The cause is not yet known. Both carriageways were closed while emergency services responded, and the London-bound carriageway has now reopened. For road closure updates, please follow @HighwaysSEAST on Twitter.
