UPDATE 6.45am Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reel jets and foam to extinguish the blaze in the cab of a fuel tanker on the M25. Crews are continuing the cool the tanker, while they await recovery of the vehicle and the M25 slip road remains closed at this time. Four fire engines were initially sent to deal with this incident but two will shortly be released..................Kent Fire and Rescue Service received a 999 call to its Emergency Control Centre from the driver of a fuel tanker, reporting that the cab of his vehicle was on fire. The vehicle is on the slip road (also known as the Snake) heading towards Clacket Lane (between junctions 5 Sevenoaks and 6 Limpsfield).The carriageway is currently and closed. Fire crews are at the scene dealing with this incident, please take extra care on the approach.
