Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a shed alight in Linley Road, Broadstairs. 

Two fire engines attended, and crews extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet. 

No injuries were reported. 

It’s believed the fire was caused accidentally by a carelessly discarded cigarette in a nearby footpath. 

Remember to dispose of cigarettes carefully and responsibly, and make sure they are fully out before being thrown away.
