  • Thames-side (Gravesend) Fire Station, 30 and 31 July, 11am-3pm
  • Paddock Wood Fire Station, 6 August, 11am-12:30pm and 1:30-3pm

Families, friends, and neighbours are all invited to attend the events, which will be full of fun activities, including an activity trail, The Byrnes Family show, and the opportunity to jump aboard a fire engine and meet the crew.

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance.

KFRS Area Manager for Customer Engagement and Safety, Suzanna Chisholm, said: “Each year we really look forward to our fire station open days, as they’re a great chance for the public to have a look around their local station and meet our teams, while learning about staying safe through fun games and hands-on activities.”

Anyone attending is advised to note the following

  • You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the event, there will however be limited space for sitting down to eat.
  • There may be a photographer on-site, so please speak to the registration team if you would prefer not to be photographed.
  • Many activities will be held outside, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
  • There will be no on-site parking available due to the venue being a working fire station.
  • Stations are not always large buildings, so there may be limited access to toilet and baby changing facilities.
  • The open days are held at working fire stations and there is a chance that sirens may sound loudly during the day. We ask that you always stay close and supervise your children.
