M20 crash between a van and HGV

Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash between a van and an HGV on the M20 on coast bound carriageway between junctions 11 at Hythe and 11a for Channel Tunnel. Firefighters worked with paramedics from SECAMB to assess the driver of the van and then using hydraulic cutting gear freed the man, who was trapped by his injuries. He was then transferred to ambulance and into the care of paramedics. Crews made the scene safe.
