Update at 09.15:The coast-bound carriageway of the M2 at junction 6 and 7 has now reopened. The London-bound carriageway remains closed while emergency services are on scene. Crews have extinguished the fire, and are now making the scene safe. Follow Highways England for further road closure updates................................................Kent Fire and Rescue Service is responding to a crash involving three cars that have caught fire, on the M2 between junction 6 for Faversham/Ashford and junction 7 for Canterbury. The road is closed in both directions. Three fire engines and a bulk water carrier are in attendance, and three casualties are being assessed by SECAmb paramedics.
