Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to rescue two people stuck in the mud on the River Medway. Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews arrived to find two people stranded on a boat that had become stuck in mudflats near the Sun Pier in Chatham. Crews used specialist mud paths to reach and rescue the two people from the boat. The scene was then passed into the care of Kent Police. A coastguard was also on the scene.
