Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene of a field fire on Workhouse Road in Faversham. Five fire engines and an all-terrain vehicle were sent to the scene and crews arrived to large plumes of smoke and a field of stubble alight. Firefighters used hose reel jets, beaters and flexi-packs to extinguish the blaze before damping down any remaining hotspots. No casualties were reported and the cause of fire is not yet known.
