Update at 5pm on 14 October 2023:
People living near to Mickleburgh Avenue, Herne Bay, are no longer advised to close windows and doors following a roof fire at a bungalow.
The fire is now out and the incident has been reduced to one fire engine.
KFRS' volunteer response team is also on-hand to offer advice and support to affected residents.

People living near to Mickleburgh Avenue in Herne Bay are advised to close windows and doors as a precaution, due to smoke coming from a roof fire at a bungalow.
Five fire engines and a height vehicle are at the scene, and crews wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reel jets and main jets to bring the fire under control.
