Firefighting operations are now complete following a fire at a derelict builders’ merchants near Spring Vale in Greenhithe, Dartford.

Eight fire engines attended the incident, with crews using main jets to extinguish the flames.

There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.

Update at 10pm on 23 April: 

People living near Spring Vale in Greenhithe, Dartford are still being advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to smoke from a fire at a derelict builders’ merchants. This advice will remain in place until the morning.

Four fire engines and a height vehicle remain at the scene.
