Update at 09:00 on 10/12/18:This incident has been scaled down to one fire engine. There is restricted access outside the NatWest building in the high street, however the rest of the road is open with police maintaining the outer cordon. Nearby Suffolk Road is open with restricted access also.............................Update at 06:45 on 10/12/18:Firefighters have worked throughout the night tackling a fire in a four storey building in Dartford High Street. Good progress has been made and the incident has been scaled down to three fire engines. Crews are now checking for any remaining hotspots. There are no reported casualties and the cause is being investigated. The road remains closed while we are on the scene. .......................................Kent Fire and Rescue Service is dealing with a fire in a four storey building in Dartford High Street. Six fire engines and a height vehicle are on the scene. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the fire. There are no reported casualties and the cause is not known at this stage. Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.
