Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at Folkestone Police station in Bouverie Road West. Five fire engines and a height vehicle attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to put out the fire on the second floor.
There were no reported injuries and the cause is not yet known.
