Firefighters attended a fire at a two-storey house in Chatham Grove, Chatham. Crews wearing breathing apparatus carried out a full search of the house to check there was no one inside. They extinguished the fire, which is believed to have originated in a rear first floor bedroom, and spread to the roof of the property. They used a thermal imaging camera to check the fire had not spread to neighbouring properties. The cause is not yet known.
