Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to a domestic property fire on Belmont Street in Ramsgate. Three fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the scene and crews arrived to a fire on the second floor of the building. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet, a main jet and water from a hydrant to extinguish the blaze. Occupants of the property were evacuated and passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics for precautionary checks. The cause is not yet known.
