Previous advice to close windows and doors in the area due to smoke, has now been lifted. .............................................Update: 15:45pmCrews are making steady progress extinguishing the fire on a commercial site on Main Road in Sevenoaks. Three fire engines remain on scene and firefighters are using main jets and water from hydrant to dampen down hot spots. Those living or working in the area are still being advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution, due to smoke. .............................................Update: 9:45am Firefighters are making steady progress extinguishing the fire on a commercial site on Main Road in Sevenoaks. Four fire engines and a bulk water carrier remain at the scene, and crews are using main jets to extinguish the fire. Those who are living or working in the area are still being advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution due to smoke..............................................Kent Fire and Rescue Service is currently at the scene of a single-storey commercial outbuilding alight on Main Road in Sevenoaks. Six fire engines are in attendance and crews wearing breathing apparatus are using main jets and hose reel jets to tackle the blaze. Those who live or work in the area are being asked to close windows and doors as a precaution due to smoke. No casualties have been reported and the cause is not yet known.
