Crews are damping down remaining hotspots. ..................................Update at 17:50 on 29/01/2021The fire within a single storey building at Napier Barracks in Folkestone is under control, and firefighters are damping down remaining hot spots.The earlier advice for those in the surrounding area to close windows and doors due to smoke has now been lifted, however people are still advised to avoid the area while emergency services are working at the scene. ..................................Kent Fire and Rescue Service has been called to assist Kent Police at the Napier Barracks in Folkestone, following reports of a fire. Eight fire engines have been sent to the scene.People living and working in the surrounding area are advised to close their windows and doors as a precaution, due to smoke coming from the incident.
