Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Ashford Road in Lenham, near Maidstone, to a fire in a field of cut corn.
Six fire engines, an all-terrain vehicle and a bulk water carrier attended, and a drone was flown to give crews a view from above. Firefighters tackled the blaze, which was approximately four hectares in size, using hose reel jets, beaters and flexipacks (portable water tanks).
There were no reported injuries and the cause is not known.
