Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a van alight on the M20, on the slip road heading to Junction 6 for Blue Bell Hill, Maidstone.
Three fire engines attended the coast-bound carriageway, where crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets.
No injuries were reported.
It’s believed the fire started accidentally.
