Update: 18:10 on 06/06/19The incident has been scaled back to two fire engines and crews are expected to remain at the scene overnight to monitor remaining hotspots. Smoke coming from the site has eased and therefore the earlier advice for people living and working near to Lordswood Industrial Estate in Chatham has been lifted. The cause isn’t yet known............................People living and working in the area surrounding Lordswood Industrial Estate in Chatham are advised to close windows and doors due to smoke, while crews deal with a fire. Six fire engines and a height vehicle are tackling a fire in an industrial unit. Crews wearing breathing apparatus are using compressed air foam, two hose reel jets and water from a hydrant to attack the blaze. There are no reported injuries.
