Update: 10:45am 7 September Firefighting operations at the scene of an industrial unit fire on Vicarage Lane in Hoo, concluded yesterday at 13:50pm. Crews have systematically worked their way through the site over the last two days to dampen down any remaining hot spots.Two industrial units were destroyed by the fire, which started on Friday 4 September. Previous advice to close windows and doors in the area of Grain and the Hoo peninsula, has now been lifted. Crews have been using main jets, water from a hydrant and ground monitors to tackle the blaze.
